EXCITING
TIMES
Staying on the theme of the widow at Zarephath I've
been on these past few months, we have now seen the breakthrough
the widow saw when she had nothing else left to continue living
on. These past few weeks God has suprised us over
and over again as money has come in from unexpected and unknown
sources. We have seen our debts dwindle down, and they would be
gone if it wasn't for the many expenses we have in January. A big
thank you to each one of you who has given!
We
have $2000 more to pay for school tuition,
another $700 to repair one of our two old cars
that has been sitting unrepaired for months, plus other expenses.
We are confident that we have turned a corner as
a ministry, and are very excited about what lies ahead for us this
year. 2015 is the year for Healing 2 The Nations
International, and it's also the year for Claudia Wintoch,
soon to be Wilson.
We're
in our 12th year in Mali, and after many lonely
years of laboring tirelessly and never giving up, going through
many hardships preparing the soil and breaking up the rocks, I have
an excitement in my spirit as I look at the year
ahead. One big and obvious change is Randy coming
to my side in the ministry and filling that vacant spot that has
been painfully empty all these years. My Malian children are getting
a Dad, and we get to model true Biblical marriage
to the nation of Mali - a nation where neither loving Dads nor loving
husbands are known.
Last
summer the "Mali Fire Outpouring" was
prophesied, and my hands have been on fire ever since. We have seen
glimpses of God moving in Mali, but we believe the breakthrough
is ahead this year. Patricia King is coming to
Mali with a team in June, and we're praying God
will use them as a catalyst to further His purposes in Mali and
with H2TNI. Please pray for God's promises to come to pass!
2014
FINANCIAL STATISTICS
I
have finished closing accounting for 2014, and have compared the
numbers for 2014 with 2013.
These next few paragraphs give you some information - feel free
to skip them if you're not interested.
General donations & sales 2014 - down
6.5%
Expenses - down 3.5%
While
we started 2014 with a negative of 950€ or $1,150, we finished
it with our biggest negative balance ever of 3.550€
or $4,300.
Our
monthly average amount we spent was9.500€,
i.e. $11,000.
Our faithful monthly donors currently give a total
of about 4.100€,
i.e. $4,600.That means we are 57%
of our expenses short every month, which is exactly
the same as last year. In the best case scenario, that difference
comes in through one-time donations. In the worst case scenario,
the ministry goes into debt. It is my travels that help bring in
those one-time donations.
People
ask me where most of our donations come from - 47%
of last year's donations came from the USA,
while 51% came from
Europe and mostly from Austria.
US
donors - you will receive your 2014 tax statements soon.
Some
numbers of expenses so you have an idea where our greatest needs
are; these are averages per month for 2013.
Food
- 1.463€, i.e.
$1,660 (excluding Claudia's food)
Schooling
- 1.150€, i.e.
$1,300 (tuition & supplies)
Car
repairs/maintenance - 575€,
i.e. $650
Gas
for cars - 320€,
i.e. $360
Electricity
& house repairs - 745€,
i.e. $845
All
these numbers have gone up this past year.
I
hope these numbers are beneficial to you. Feel free to ask me if
you have any questions.
I
also wanted to let our American friends know that you'll get your
donation statement for last year shortly.
QUICK
NEWS
- Sponsorship
- Ex-street child Suma (21) had been our night
guard for over a year when he started school this last October.
As soon as Adama has his license, he'll become our day guard instead
of our night guard. Now that he attends school, we still need
someone to become his half-sponsor for $30 or 20€
per month.
- New
Truck Needed - We desperately need a new Toyota
pick-up truck, which unfortunately costs as much as $40,000
or 30.000€.
- Our
Wedding - Our American wedding in Eupora, MS, takes place
on February 27th at 3 pm local time and will
be broadcast live on youtube. Our Austrian wedding
is on March 27th in Vienna. My next email will
have our story and more information.
- Volunteers
- We always need volunteers in Mali who can stay a
few months or more. If you'd like to come help us, please
contact me.
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began
a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right
up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting
and bringing it to full completion in you.
