HOPE
& BREAKTHROUGH
Anyone who is among the living has hope. (Ecc 9:4)
Being
alive means having hope; when people run out of hope they see no
other option than ending their lives. Having hope means
expecting good things to come, even when we're in the middle
of the night (joy comes in the morning Ps 30:5) or in the valley
of the shadow of death (Ps 23:4). Being a son or daughter of the
One who has plans to prosper us (not harm us) and give us a future
(Jer 29:11), who turns around every tragedy in our lives - whether
caused by the enemy, others or our own stupidity - using it for
our good (Rom 8:28), making it into a weapon against the
enemy and an opportunity for us to grow in characer and
maturity, we have the confidence that no one who hopes
in God will ever be put to shame. (Ps 25:3) We have the confidence
that our hopes, desires, dreams that He has put into our hearts
will one day - in HIS time which is the RIGHT
time - move from future to present, from not-yet to reality. That
one day we move from the first half Prov 13:12 - hope deferred
makes the heart sick - to the second half: a longing
fulfilled is a tree of life.
It
is definitely no coincidence that for the past 4 months I've been
preaching a powerful message of hope (with 3 Bible
events as great examples) everywhere God has sent me. I've seen
sick people healed, bound people set free,
dead dreams resurrected, hope restored,
and visions come back to life to be fulfilled at the right time.
I've had a great time ministering in Europe these past few weeks
and seeing God move among His people. There is nothing like being
an instrument, a channel of the Most High God, Creator of the universe.
BREAKTHROUGH
Over
the course of the years of trying to get the papers to make us an
offical Malian church, we had lost hope many times,
as we didn't know what else to do, being sent going in circles just
because we were Christians or unwilling to feed into corruption.
Yet, today those papers are in our hands. Our hope was not in vain!
SEPARATION
And
while it seemed that the day of fulfillment had finally come when
God brought an amazing man into my life that I
was going to spend the rest of my life with, just because that relationship
ended doesn't mean that His promise is not still true. I know my
heavenly Father, I know He has great plans for me, and His promise
of bringing a husband to me still stands, whatever the circumstances.
I choose to trust Him and His timing, simply because He is good
and He is my Daddy who wants the best for His daughter. (Please
do pray for both of us in this difficult time.)
So
if you're still waiting for your dreams to come true, do not lose
patience. Trust Him. If you still have promises
from long ago that have not been fulfilled, hold on to Him and trust
Him. He IS good, and He is good to YOU!
QUICK
NEWS
- Free
for Ministry - I'll be in Austria for
ONE weekend in July (12-13) and am available
for ministry. Please contact me if you'd like me to come to your
church.
- Repairs,
Repairs - It seems like we constantly spend money on
repairs around the house (plus the vehicles),
draining our already low finances. We need a
financial breakthrough!
- Translation
Job - I'm thankful I was recently given a Christian book
to translate which is just the right thing to keep me busy instead
of thinking these days. So if you ever need a translator for English-French-German,
please remember me.
- Austrian
Visitor - On Friday we have a visitor from Austria coming
for a month. Please pray for her and for us,
that we'll have a great time together with everyone being blessed.
-
New
Vehicle - We desperately need a new vehicle with our
two old ones having run the course of their lives and devouring
much-needed money for repairs. We're believing for $40,000
to purchase this Toyota Hilux.
- Third
Building - We still need $2000 to repay
what has already been spent (without our knowledge at the time)
to get the building to the point of being able to use it.
- Joseph
- Our young pastor-in-training is eagerly awaiting his
return from the YWAM discipleship school in Dakar,
Senegal, just two weeks from now.
- Volunteers
- We always need volunteers in Mali who can stay a few
months or more. If you'd like to come help us, please contact
me.
May
the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in
him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit. (Rom
15:13)
