STREET
KID EASTER PARTY
Without Jesus's death and resurrection, our faith would have no
value. Without His death and resurrection, we would still live in
darkness and sin. Without His death and resurrection, I would have
never gone to Mali over 10 years ago. Without His death and resurrection,
the hundreds of children and adults who have heard the gospel, have
been healed and have entered the Kingdom of God would still live
in sickness, fear and darkness.
Remembering
our Savior's sacrifice it's a great joy to invite
the forgotten, the abandoned, the unloved, the lonely, the hungry,
the naked, and be an instrument of our wonderful Savior's
love and compassion. Our car went out to pick up those
children and bring them to our base, where we started off with a
few games that were great fun for them - finding
the colored, boiled egg with the same number as the paper in their
hand, balancing raw eggs on spoons held by their mouths, trying
to hit a tower of cans, and a hand-game requiring wit and concentration
to determine one final winner.
Game
time was followed by a time of joyful praise to
our Savior with much dancing, before the children heard the whole
gospel from Adam & Eve to the cross to Jesus's
return and were given an opportunity to start a life with
Jesus - so many hands went up as you can see in the picture.
Hallelujah!
After
spiritual food, each got a big plate of delicious physical food,
as well as a drink which is extra special, and
they got to see the life of Jesus in their own language, the MATTHEW
movie. Before they went on their way again - or
chose to spend the night on our base - each child was given a pair
of shoes, and the winner of the game clothes and
a balloon as well.
Not
only was it a special, fun day for many children; not only was God's
love demonstrated and poured out, but His kingdom grew
by a few more beautiful children who found a relationship with their
Creator. Praise God!

RESIDENT
KID EASTER
Our resident children were the ones who had the joy and fun of coloring
the eggs for the street kid Easter party - for the new
children among them a whole new experience!
And
they did get their own fun experience as well. We hid many chocolate
eggs all over the boys' dorm and the kids' living room,
split the kids in two groups according to age, and let them loose
to find as many eggs as possible. Considering it's the hottest time
of year, we can only hope that they found ALL the hidden eggs. They
had a lot of fun and proudly showed off their treasures.

QUICK
NEWS
- Joseph
at YWAM - Joseph has been doing a YWAM discipleship
school near Dakar since January, and has been learning
and growing. He's now in the outreach phase, in their region,
before returning to work with us in June. We're looking forward
to having this amazing young man back.
- Third
Building - We still need $2000 to repay
what has already been spent (without our knowledge at the time)
to get the building to the point of being able to use it.
-
New
Vehicle - We desperately need a new vehicle with our
two old ones having run the course of their lives and devouring
much-needed money for repairs. We're believing for $40,000
to purchase this Toyota Hilux.
- Volunteers
- We always need volunteers in Mali who can stay a few
months or more. If you'd like to come help us, please contact
me.
He
is not here; he has risen!

24:6)
