APOSTOLIC COMMISSIONING
FLORENTIN
QUICK NEWS
GERMANY,
FRANCE & AUSTRIA
In the beginning of last year God renewed my calling to
Europe, and these past few months he's opened new
doors a few of which I went through on my recent trip to
Europe. I saw the beginnings of prophecy fulfilled as God graciously
used me as His vessel to bring healing, restoration, and refreshing,
and to bring down His presence and glory. It was
a joy to have Florentin with me as an assistant for part of that
time, and it renewed my motivation to pray for a personal
assistant to travel with me.
I
sense God's eyes currently on Europe and feel His
commissioning to go and be His hands and feet, just a little piece
of the puzzle in what God is planning to do. If you'd like to invite
me for a weekend of ministry, I still have a free
weekend Oct 5-6.
APOSTOLIC
COMISSIONING
In
2004 Jill Austin first prophesied publicly that
I was an apostle. On June 7th of this year my network
Harvest International Ministries headed by Che Ahn officially
recognized me as that when I was one of a number of people comissioned
as an apostle by Che Ahn in the presence of Peter
Wagner and Bill Johnson and other leaders. I wished Jill - a spiritual
Mom of mine - could have been there (she died 4 years ago).
You
can watch a little clip on youtube here.
I'm
sure you've heard the expression "new levels, new devils".
Since the commissioning I've seen both, and I'm painfully aware
of my/our need for intercessors. Who
will commit to pray for us regularly?
FLORENTIN
Florentin
was eager to return to Mali to be reunited with his brothers &
sisters and share his riches, material and otherwise, with them.
Physically he's doing better than ever. He's now
able to participate in all physical activities. He even rode a rollercoaster!
I
- as well as his host families - tried to give him the best
time possible while in Europe. I took him on a ministry
trip to France as well as to the south of Austria,
and kept him busy all the time. From swimming to amusement park
to climbing park, museum and sightseeing, and he even got to be
in the snowy mountains doing a snowball fight.
Florentin
has returned to Mali a new person. He was so excited
to go on the YWAM outreach again, a year after he went and got so
sick that he was sent home and his heart problems discovered. I
can't wait to hear what he has to share coming back.
QUICK
NEWS
- Outreach
- Florentin, Karim and Joseph are currently on
a 10-day YWAM outreach in the south of Mali. Please pray for them.
- Paul's
Baby - The baby was due on June 18th,
but according to the doctor they could be wrong by up to 2 weeks.
Rokia is eager to have little Christian come out.
- Christian
Radio - We were able to finance a solar panel
and battery for the radio station in our village where
two of the team running it got saved. They're now broadcasting
worship music and Christian teachings we provide them with.
- Village
Churches - In a short while we'll have to stop our visits
to our village churches because the water will cut off the streets
leading there. We were able to give a solar powered speaker
& charger and an mp3 player to one village church
so they can gather to listen to God's word even without us being
there.
- Time
to Expand - When you're an apostle, it's hard to simply
maintain as all you want to do is move forward and expand. I'm
tired of maintenance and feel like I've received a strategy on
how to start more village churches again. Please
pray.
- Mattresses
for Street Kids - Since rainy season has started, we
now have a lot of street children spending the
night on our base. With all the mattresses gone or destroyed,
we really need to buy new mattresses. If you'd
like to buy a mattress for a street child, one costs $40
or 30€.
- New
Children - Summer is the time we take in new children,
before the beginning of the new school year. Please pray we choose
the ones God wants to add for our family, and consider
sponsoring a child.
- War
in Mali - The first round of elections
are scheduled for July 28th. In the north, Malian
troups have just arrived in Kidal after an accord was signed last
week. The UN peacekeepers start their work on July 1st.
- Summer
Time - Ironically, the kids got out of school even earlier
this year, making an already long summer even longer. In a few
weeks I'm going to start teaching them French
again to help them improve their so important French skills.
- My
Book & Brother - Recently my brother found out about
my book and asked for a copy to read it. That could be either
catastrophic or lead to his salvation. Please
pray!
- Volunteers
- We always need volunteers in Mali who can stay a few
months or more. If you'd like to come help us, please contact
me.
Ask
of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps
2:8)
