EARLIER THIS YEAR

In the beginning of the year, God spoke to me clearly about ministry priorities changing this year and renewed my calling to Europe, telling me I’d be spending more time there in the future. It came as a complete surprise just as I’m feeling more at home in Mali than ever. It’s just like our God to always push us out of our comfort zones…

After a 40-day fast to get more clarity and understanding of God’s direction, He clearly pointed me to the aspect that needed to be added to the ministry...

THE STATUS QUO

Healing 2 The Nations International is all about bringing healing to the people of the nations (surprise!) in every area of life. We as individuals are not just a number of different and separate pieces, but healing needs to be in a WHOLESOME way - the entirety of body, soul and spirit together, rather than separately which is really Greek thinking rather than Hebrew thinking.

H2TNI has been strong in the four healing areas mentioned on our website (adding "national"), seeing hundreds of people dedicating their lives to Jesus over the years, being healed of all kinds of sicknesses and finding healing from pain that had kept them bound. However, there was still an aspect that was missing...

MY TESTIMONY

Those who have read my book (and the German translation is coming out in November) know the details of how God has taken this broken vessel I was and started working on making me into a beautiful container for His glory. Today I'm a living testament to what God is able to do and a living hope to all those who think they're a hopeless case.

Because of all the trauma of my childhood, my weight kept climbing over the years, in spite of or because of constant dieting trying to become "acceptable". When I came to know the Lord at the age of 20, the dieting stopped as I knew for the first time that I was loved the way I was. For years, I didn't care about my weight or what I ate, even though the Bible admonishes us to treat our bodies in a way that honors God.

My weight climbed to over 97 kilos (close to 220 lbs), and it was only after going deeper in my inner healing process that I started to really care in 2007. Since then I've been on a journey to fitness and health, with all the ups and downs, but loving it. I'm eating healthy, work out, love reading about health and nutrition, and my weight has dropped to 72 kilos (i.e. 159 lbs) - not quite my goal yet but getting closer.

GOD'S DIRECTION

In April I clearly felt God leading me to add the practical fitness component to the healing ministry of H2TNI. It's important to be healed emotionally from the reasons that make us overeat, but even then, how do you drop the weight? I felt that this aspect had to be added to be able to help people in a complete way to become all that God has planned for them to be.

In August I started a 6-week intensive course (that usually takes one year) in Austria, and after 227 hours of work put in, I received my diploma and graduated with the title “personal fitness trainer & health coach” (I'm the third from the left), having put in much blood, sweat and tears and passed a written as well as practical exam. I'm excited to see how God is going to use this new dimension of the ministry in the months and years to come.

I have specialized in helping overweight Christians to lose weight by exercising, eating right and being healed from the painful stuff rooted in childhood. What I love is that I can do a session or more while I am in town and then leave you with a workout program to follow (whether at home or at the gym) until I come back to check on you and adapt your program as necessary, and do more inner healing sessions if wanted/needed.

Because we are a not-for-profit organization, at this point I am asking for donations to the ministry for rendered services. It is my hope that not only will Christians be transformed into Jesus's image more, but that the ministry will be helped financially.

QUICK NEWS

•       Joseph's US Trip - On Thursday Joseph (who has a pastoral calling) will have his visa interview at the US consulate. If everything works out, he'll be traveling with me to CA, NV, MO, KS, VA, PA and GA Jan 16-March 5 (more details on the left); it's a life-changing itinerary, so join us in prayer that he'll be issued the visa. Also, if you have 100,000 Air France or Delta miles to donate for his flights, that would help greatly.

•        Crumbled Walls - It costs $2000 to rebuild our wall that crumbled in two different locations. With our current dire financial situation, it's impossible to have it fixed, and our temporary fix keeps getting blown away.

•        Baby On The Way - Paul & Rokia have just found out that there is a baby on the way! Praise God!

•       Anniversary Conference - On Nov 8th Austrian pastor Gerhard Kisslinger is arriving for a week to be the speaker at our annual anniversary conference, this year the 8th. The big celebration with baptism and radio broadcast is on November 11th. Please pray for him, us and much fruit.

•        Finances Needed - Repairs plus the costly beginning of the school year has meant spending more money than we have. Please help us financially if you can or pray as we are a few thousand euros/dollars short.

•       Sponsor for New Child - A few days ago we took in Aaron (7). You can read his story here. Please contact me, if you'd like to sponsor him for $60 or 40€ per month.

•        People of Augusta - We are looking for a new US secretary to take over stateside administrative work; it's not much and not hard, but ask me for more details. With our PO box in Evans, it needs to be someone who can access it on a weekly basis.

•        Florentin's Heart Operation - We're still pursuing two avenues in Europe to make his operation happen, so that he gets the heart valve he needs. Prayers are welcome.

•       Book Translations - The German translation of my book is being released this November, praise God! As for the French translation, I'm still looking for a publisher.

•       Volunteers - We don't have any volunteers in Mali right now, even though we really need a few; if you'd like to come help us, please contact me.
