CHILDREN
WHO NEED SPONSORS
Nema
(20) is our former village pastor's daughter. In 2009 she moved
to Bamako to go to High School, and we agreed to make that possible
for her by including her in our sponsorship program. She had to
repeat 10th grade, adding another year to her schooling, and is
now in 11th grade. Nema is staying with a Christian
family, while we pay tuition and whatever else she needs.
Nema
had two sponsors, each with a half-sponsorship, and recently lost
one. She needs a half-sponsor who can support her
with $30 or 20€ per month.
Nyeba
(7) recently moved in with her grandmother Elisabeth - one of our
cooks and Paul's step-mother - because of her parents being
too sick to take care of her. Her sister Sama already lived
with Elisabeth and Elisabeth's own 5 children. Elisabeth is a widow,
and moving in with us - together with the 7 children
- within the next few months, when the third house is finished.
We made it possible for Nyeba to start school; she's now attending
first grade.
Nyeba
needs either a full sponsor, or two half-sponsors.
A full sponsorship is $60 or 40€
per month, and covers the most basic needs.
Moïse
(16) lived with us for 9 months a few years ago, but then
chose to return to the "freedom" of the street.
However, he stayed closeby and spent many more nights on our base.
When we recently had to let our day guard go, Moïse was amazed
and excited about a chance to return to our home, and to school,
and work as our day guard.
Moïse
needs either a full sponsor, or two half-sponsors.
A full sponsorship is $60 or 40€
per month, and covers the most basic needs.
Please
contact me if
you'd like to sponsor any of these children.
UPCOMING
CONFERENCE
In
just two days pastor Anthony Turner from Colorado
Springs is arriving in Mali to be our special guest speaker
at our annual conference this year. We've been
busy preparing for this special event, and are looking forward to
what God has in store for us and our country this week.
The
theme of our conference is Experiencing the True Father
- something that is very needed in Mali. Please pray for
the meetings.
On
Sunday afternoon we're having a big celebration
with baptism and banquet, as our church is celebrating 7
years of existence. The service is broadcast live on the
one Christian radio station.
On
Monday and Tuesday we're going
into two villages to minister to our village churches
there.
Your
prayers for protection and fruit
are very much sought after. You will be getting a report next week.
In the meantime, check
my blog for daily updates.
QUICK
NEWS
- New
Website - We've been working hard on our new website,
having had many delays, and while it's not finished, many pages
are. Calendar, blog, construction page and others are up to date.
Please check it out at www.healing2thenations.org.
Please change all NET endings to ORG,
including email addresses.
- Construction
- I'm glad that we got guest room and
bathroom (picture) ready for our guest speaker
this week. But that's about all that's ready at this point.
- Moving
- God willing, I'm moving into the new house
in December - if we have enough money to put
the windows in. The rest can be completed even
with me already living in the house. It's going to be another
adventure moving into an unfinished house. However, it will make
room for Paul & Rokia, as well as Elisabeth and her 7 children
moving in with us. Finally, we'll have room again to take in more
children.
- Gift
for Paul & Rokia - They are getting married January
7th, and we're sending them on a special honeymoon
to Senegal for one week. Please bless them with a financial
gift to cover the expenses and give them a honeymoon they'll never
forget - just contact me. Click on the image to find out more
about their hotel.
- Volunteers
- We need helpers! If you could come to Mali for a couple
of months to be a blessing to our children, please contact me.
- My
Book - My book can now be ordered from
all over the world. Just click on the link on the left side.
- Personal
Travel Assistant - Email me if you're young, female and
single and are interested in this great learning experience of
traveling with me.
Devote
yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
