SERVE
IN MALI - SHORT OR LONG TERM
In
a few weeks, our last young, single helper will leave us
for good, and after 14 months of having young volunteers,
and profiting from the huge difference that makes, there won't be
one around.
Serving
on our base is a life-changing experience, a chance
to grow and learn and fall in love, and to make a huge difference
in the kingdom of God.
If
you have a few months or many months to give away,
why not give them to God for a season in Mali?
Come change the lives of these former street children and as-yet
street children, as well as the little ones born into our household.
What
is required? Willingness to serve and learn
and give your time, energy and heart.
If
you're interested, please email
me. Email me also if you'd like to get in touch with any of
our previous volunteers to find out more.
NEW
US OFFICE & BOARD MEMBERS
Healing
2 The Nations International's US office has returned to the
town and state where it was first incorporated - Augusta,
Georgia. We've been going through a hard season of having
to relocate every half year or so, and I can only hope and pray
that this is the last move for a long time.
Please
update your address books with our new address:
PO
Box 543
Evans, GA 30809
Our
new office phone number is 866-851-7962
where you reach our new secretary Sylvia Berry.
Our new treasurer - working in the same church office - is Anne
Hatcher.
The
board of directors for H2TNI consists of 6 board members
(excluding me) who each serve for 3 years. We're pleased and excited
to welcome our 2 new board members: Sheila McHenry
pastors a church in Valencia, CA, and Jeff Struss Jr.
pastors the Lynchburg House of Prayer in Lynchburg, VA.
Thank you for your service and for being a blessing!

QUICK
NEWS
- New
Children's Center - Because of our financial situation,
the opening of our new children's center in Sévaré
has been put on hold for now.
- New
Family Member - On July 30 Rosalie (one of our cooks)
had her fifth child and fourth son Natanael.
Our family is growing!
- Fanta's
Husband - Thanks for praying for this situation. Seybou
(who returned after 2 years away) has found a job offsite and
only comes to our base once a week over night. This arrangement
seems to work best for everyone, and I'm praying
it continues.
- Financial
Needs - A big thank you
to those of you who responded to our desperate situation and sent
money. We're thankful to have friends and supporters like you,
and a God who knows and provides. We're now spending hundreds,
even thousands, of dollars on tuition, school supplies
and uniforms. Any help with that would
be very welcome.
- Construction
Progress - We have been working on our third
house, and thanks to Yakou the quality of work has improved.
We've now run out of money to continue work,
and are praying for more to come in so it can be finished as soon
as possible.
- Electricity
- In July our Dutch friend & electrician Anco came
to install additional solar panels and other
equipment to increase our capacity significantly. Since then we've
been very thankful to have power (almost) every
night - even though it's rainy season. And the city is finally
bringing electricity all the way out to us. Praise God!
- Family
Changes - Last time I reported that Daouda
(11) had returned. By now he has left again - for the third time
this year. Also, our great helper Eva had to
leave unexpectedly after only a few short weeks, which was a great
loss for us. She'll be in school these next 3 years, and then
hopefully back to stay. A few weeks ago Matthias,
an Austrian student, came to stay with us over summer, and he's
been a great addition to our family.
- Our
Americans - Yakou (Ray), Mimi
and Julie have now been in Mali for nearly 4
months and have settled in amazingly well. Their Bambara abilities
are constantly improving, while they interact with people on and
outside our base. Their service has been invaluable, with "suddenly"
things getting repaired and a garden
appearing "out of nowhere". Keep praying for them, and
especially for Julie as she starts school soon.
- Summer
Activities - This summer we have not done as many special
events as last year; instead I focused on improving our children's
French and English skills, teaching
them every day, as well as helping our little ones to grow in
their writing abilities. I've also been teaching
our white team members to improve their Bambara
skills. Finally, we've been working daily on getting more of Bible
Pathway translated into Bambara and the
Old Testament recorded in Bambara. We've kept
busy!
- My
Book - My book can now be ordered from
all over the world. Just click on the link on the left side.
- Personal
Assistant Needed - Email me if you're young, female and
single and are interested in this great learning experience.
God
bless you and keep you, God smile on you and gift you, God look
you full in the face and make you prosper.
