6TH
CHURCH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND
On
November 28th, 2004, Centre Apostolique Malien
was launched celebrating its first church service. Six years later
to the day we celebrated our anniversary with guest speaker
Cliff Pash.
Because
of our currently dire financial situation, the celebration and conference
had to be low key this year, and the contrast to
our big 5th anniversary celebration last year was stark. We did
6 meetings over the course of 4 days,
and the final one was our anniversary celebration.
Cliff preached an important message that hopefully was heard and
made a difference.
On
Sunday we had the joy of baptizing six
young men. Three of them were children that live with us,
and the other three boys still live on the street. However, we have
seen their lives changed, and they had a great testimony to share
with the people that were present. After they had changed into dry
clothes, we prayed and prophesied over each boy.
God has such a great future for them!
After
Cliff's message, he prayed for people, and then we served a simple
meal to all our visitors. It had been a small but good
celebration.
On
Monday and Wednesday the team went to our two village churches
in Dara and Goro. Again, a powerful message was preached,
and the team prayed for the sick and those in bondage, seeing God's
kingdom come.
I
have uploaded some videos to YOUTUBE that you can
watch there or by following these links. Unfortunately none of my
video software works currently, which keeps me from uploading more.

FAMILY
CHANGES
We
finally fired our driver after another incident, and employed our
20-year-old returned ex-kid Saloum as a driver.
I sent Saloum to driving school two years ago when he turned 18,
but then he was gone for a year and a half. He returned this summer
as our day guard. He is doing a good job as a driver so far.
We
took in Adama (18) to become our new day guard.
Adama has been coming to our place for three years, and spent most
nights on our base these past two years. We've seen his life change,
and just baptized him last week. Adama is a quiet young man with
a sweet spirit who loves Jesus. He is the 14th "child"
to live with us.
Last
time I mentioned Jérémie (13) who
had run away. After quite an incident with Paul, there was clarification,
forgiveness and restoration.
Abdias
(17) decided to go into rebellion, shocking us with his behavior,
and had to leave the house and sleep with the street children. We
are transferring him from day to evening school which will work
better for him at his age (he's in 6th grade). We're still hoping
he'll repent and return to our family.
Now
our well-behaved sweet kid Florentin (15) has decided
to become rebellious also and skipped school today. We're still
waiting to see whether he returns home tonight.
QUICK
NEWS
- My
Book - I'm working on going through the editor's changes
right now. They changed the title back to the one I had - YOU
CAN CHANGE THE WORLD If everything works out, it
will be released in March. A few book reviews can already be read
here. More info as the date approaches.
- Construction
Team Needed - We are looking for a church that would
send us a construction team including an electrician and a plumber
to put in the wiring and plumbing
in our current building under construction. It would have to be
within the next few months. Please contact me.
- School
Expenses - We're still in need of help to pay for our
kids' school expenses; the next installment of tuition
is already coming up in January.
- Christmas
- We're still praying for donations to make Christmas
special again. We need $150 to be able to go swimming,
$200 to buy shoes for the street children, $400
for a Christmas meal for our street children
and resident children, and money to buy much-needed clothes
for our children.
- Next
Trip - I'm going to be in the US for one month in the
beginning of next year. I actually start in Vienna
to see my newborn second nephew, then go on to Shippensburg,
Harrisburg, New York City, Pasadena and Colorado
Springs. I'm still looking for someone who would explore
with me or show me New York City Jan 17-18. More details on my
CALENDAR page.
- Dawn's
Recovery - We made a commitment to provide the only possible
help for my friend Dawn so she could recover her health and live
again. We're so very excited at the dramatic improvement
she has found, and praise the Lord for that. Please consider helping
us financially with her expenses, as we have helped her.
- Supporters
- We continue being in need of not only financial
supporters but people who support us in prayer. I had
nearly no response to my last email newsletter, and the attacks
have continued in the same intensity and left us all drained.
I will never forget hearing Peter Wagner say that he never has
any warfare at all because he has intercessors who take it all
on them. We need committed intercessors who are
willing to take just SOME of the warfare off of us.
- Europe
Trip - Europe will be the first place where I go with
my newly released book. I need to start planning my time in Austria,
France, Switzerland, and wherever else God opens up doors
in March and April. If you would
like me to come share, preach or present the book,
please contact me. So far the book is only coming out in English.
Even
though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for
you are with me.
(Ps 23:4)
