MORE HOUSING

We need more housing to take in more children and have room for more staff. With $61,800 we can finish this needed building. Please mark your donation - whether big or small - with "building fund". Details on the DONATION and CONSTRUCTION pages.

EASTER PARTY FOR STREET CHILDREN

On April 5th we had an awesome time showing the love and power of Christ to the many street children who showed up for food, shoes, drinks, games, the gospel and an opportunity to start a relationship with Jesus.

We played different games, and crowned one winner at the end. I shared the whole gospel with them, from beginning to end, and could feel the anointing as the kids were glued to my words. There's nothing like sharing the pure gospel! Most of the children prayed to receive Jesus as Lord an Savior, and some of them for the first time.

After the meal, each boy received a pair of shoes - some had none, others had shoes that were falling apart. It was wonderful to see the joy in their eyes at that precious gift!

CLAUDIA & PAUL IN THE US

On May 20 Paul and I are leaving Mali for the US. This is our schedule:

May 21-23 ~ Topeka, KS
May 23-25 ~ Wichita, KS
May 25-31 ~ Kansas City, MO
June 1 ~ Disneyland in Los Angeles - who'll join us?
June 2-3 ~ Lompoc, CA
June 3-7 ~ Pasadena, CA, HIM conference
June 7-14 ~ Augusta, GA

More details - like when and where we are ministering - always up-to-date on the CALENDAR page.

QUICK NEWS

  •        Exhaustion - This is the hottest time of year in Mali, and I have up to 38°C (i.e. 100 F) in my bedroom. I have not slept decently in weeks. I have not only become very tired physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. I'm very much in need of a true break - which this next trip is NOT going to be. Please pray with me about the possibility of taking a short, real break, to get rejuvenated. Pray for guidance to known when to go where for how long.
  •        Tierno Gone - I recently had to fire Tierno, our 19-year-old day guard who I had sent to driving school. He's a former street kid who's given his life to the Lord, but could not overcome his anger issue. When he beat up a little boy on our base, I had to tell him to go. Please pray for him.
  •        Our Helper Eva - Eva from Austria has now been with us for just over two months, and she is a great help. The kids love her, and she's absolutely amazing with them. We're very blessed to have her. Please pray for her as she'll carry the big responsibility of being in charge while Paul and I are in the US.
  •        Construction - We had some money to continue building a little bit, after a 7-month-break due to no money. So much more is needed though to get this much-needed next building done. (See on the top.)
  •        Little Bus - For quite some time we've been praying for a little bus for about 30 people, as it's a challenge transporting all the kids to school on the back of our pick-up truck, or picking up the street kids at the bus station that way. We recently had an surprising donation from an unknown donor, and are checking out prices for busses. Please pray we find the right one, if that is what God wants us to use the money for.
  •        Pictures - The picture pages on my website are in need of revision, but I have not found anyone who can help with that. If you want to see current pictures, please go to my Facebook profile, where you'll find them all.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:9)

Holding on to HIM,

Claudia
