GLORY
INVASION CONFERENCE
A new dawn has broken in Mali! A new day has started
for Healing 2 The Nations International and Centre
Apostolique Malien (CAM - the name of our church in Mali)!
God's joy and presence has flooded our base and
our beings! We've never had as much joy, I have never been as happy
in Mali, have never been this content, never been so proud of my
kids, and have never loved them as much as I do now! This past weekend
- our glory invasion conference and 5th anniversary service - has
marked a turning point (we could feel that even
the weeks before), and been the beginning of a new chapter!
Pastor
Charles Stock and his little team arrived the day before the conference
started. They also came with high expectations for the ministry
in Mali to be changed forever. They were not disappointed.
On
Friday night - the first meeting of the weekend
- we had a glorious evening. I could feel God's
presence and pleasure as I was leading French worship. At the end
of the meeting, Charles and the team were praying for people, and
the front looked like a battle field. My heart was jumping for joy
inside of me - joy to see my children touched, joy to see
God come down here in Mali! After everyone had had prayer,
I had them pray for me as well, and the joy of the Lord filled me
to overflowing! It was so awesome!
On
Saturday we started at 9:30 am, going until 5 pm.
We had a good number of people, including some other pastors. Both
Charles and the other pastor on his team preached and shared. They
also picked out people and prophesied over them. And they prayed
for more people. It was a glorious day!
On
Monday we did a meeting that resembled our weekly
prayer meeting, which means an extended time of worship,
going into the throne room, and letting Him lead wherever
and do whatever. But that day, it wasn't just our kids and team,
but also our street children. There was some warfare over the meeting,
but we managed to get started, and as we started praising Him and
worshiping Him all the resistance fled.
As
I sang, and we worshiped, we went deeper and deeper into
His presence. I started singing prophetically. Most everyone
was on the floor, and the kids started falling asleep. Once you're
in that place, there is no time, and you can go on and on. So at
one point I stopped, and handed it over to Charles. The team had
wanted to pray for me, so now was the time. They surrounded me,
and the Lord filled me to overflowing as they prayed
and prophesied over me. It was glorious! I was overwhelmed by the
goodness of the Lord, and had no words to express my gratefulness
- to Him, and to the team who had sacrificed to come.
On
Monday afternoon we went to the village
of Dra where we planted a church a year ago. We praised
Him, preached the gospel, and prayed for the sick, and the Lord
healed them!
We
had a glorious weekend with our visitors. When
Charles and the other pastor left Tuesday night, there was a lot
of sadness and some tears on my kids' faces. It was hard to see
them leave. Especially our 5-year-old had become attached to Charles,
even in this short time. My kids need a Dad!

5TH
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
On
Sunday we had our 5th anniversary celebration -
the biggest event we've ever done! We invited a good number of dignitaries
(hardly any of them came), and prepared for a big crowd of people.
We had sitting room for about 420, and close to 600 came!
We
had a full program. We had invited a choir to come
lead us in praise and worship, as well as the YWAM kids'
dance team that three of my kids are part of. Paul did
two songs he's written with our choir of street kids and
former street kids. One of my kids sang a solo
- a song he's written himself. I shared the history of CAM,
who we are and what we do, since most people knew nothing about
us, and then our kids played the sketch we had
written together - "One Day at CAM". People loved it!
One
of the highlights was the baptism. We baptized
7 boys that still live on the street but sleep
here every night. We've seen their lives transformed, and I was
proud to baptize them. I wished we had room and team members to
take them in.
Another
highlight was Paul's ordination. Paul has already
been functioning as a pastor, and it was an honor to seal it in
front of the invisible and visible word. He was blessed and received
prophetic input by the visiting team.
Because
it had gotten pretty late, Charles did not preach
for very long; He was awesome as ususal. He then prayed
for the sick, and they were healed. The
whole service was broadcast live on the Christian radio
station. Malian TV (there's only one channel)
filmed the whole service, and is putting together a half-hour program
they're broadcasting next Sunday.
After
the service was over, we served everyone our special meal
of couscous, onion sauce and mutton - we had killed two
sheep in the morning - as well as a soda. We were thankful many
had left earlier, since we had by far not enough food for everyone
had they stayed. But everyone ate and had their fill!
