part of the apostolic network
Harvest International Ministries (HIM - founder Che Ahn).

If you have wanted to send some money to support us, now would be the time. The start of school year plus some other expenses has cost us more than we have in our accounts, and has put us in a difficult situation financially, especially in light of our upcoming event.

MORE HOUSING

We need more housing to take in more children and have room for more staff. With $66,000 we can finish this needed building. Please mark your donation - whether big or small - with "building fund". Details on the DONATION and CONSTRUCTION pages.

GLORY INVASION CONFERENCE

I thank God for all your prayers that have made a tangible difference. Every time I send out prayer requests to EVERYBODY, tangible results are visible within little time.

The time of discouragement is over - thank God! These past few weeks our excitement has been rising more and more, and our busy-ness increasing as well, as we prepare for the arrival of our American visitors in two weeks, followed by a group of French visitors. We are now in the middle of a 3-week time of prayer and fasting to prepare for the biggest event we've ever done, our GLORY INVASION conference that will end with a huge celebration of the 5th anniversary of our church in Mali.

We are honored to have one of the HIM leaders - pastor Charles Stock from Harrisburg, PA - come to Mali for the first time, bringing a team of 3 with him. Charles carries an anointing for the glorry, and we're believing that we'll see the conference title become a reality. We're believing that this weekend will be the end of a chapter, and beginning of a new.

Our anniversary celebration on November 8th will be big. We're busy preparing the grounds of our future sanctuary to hold as many people as possible. We are expecting representatives from the major denominations and churches, as well as government officials, and Christian radio will broadcast the celebration live. The one Malian TV channel is sending a team to film, and will do a half-hour report to be shown during the 2-hour segment for Christians on national TV each week.

Besides getting the grounds ready, we are also finally finishing the dining hall. Tiles are laid, it's painted inside and out, and now they are painting the windows and doors. Then it will be done! The number of street kids sleeping in the dining hall has increased these past weeks, especially since our new driver has started picking them up at the bus station again. We're now restricted by the size of the pick-up truck... we simply can't get any more kids up there!

SPONSORS FOR TWO KIDS NEEDED

In September Paul Junior (17) moved in with us. He had been spending the nights on our property for about a year already, was baptized last November, and had shown himself faithful. It was time to give him a chance. He now attends first grade at an evening school. Paul is originally from Guinea, where he spent his early childhood. At the age of 14 he ran away when he got in trouble, came to Mali, and lived on the street for 3 years before moving in with us. More details on the RESIDENT KIDS page.

Neema (17) is our village pastor's daughter. She's grown up there, and has gone to school there. Now that she has completed 9th grade, she had no choice but to come to the capital Bamako to go to High School, doing her last 3 years of schooling. She's staying with a Christian family near the school, but we're providing for her schooling, food and medical expenses. We cannot do that without a sponsor helping us with those expenses. Who would like to sponsor this sweet young Christian lady for $60 or €40 a month?

QUICK NEWS

  •        Driver - Thanks to your prayers, we have found a driver. Augustin is from Togo, and is doing a decent job so far. Pray he integrates well into our family.
  •        School - School has started for 23 of our 24 kids. Hama has an appointment at a school for handicapped children next week. Please pray it works out for him. Tuition, school books and supplies, school uniforms, have all been more financially than we could handle.
  •        Fanta - I've started teaching Fanta to read and write Bambara, which is hard for someone who's never stepped into a school in her life. She's motivated, but needs prayer.
  •        Family Picture - Make sure to look at our new family picture below. There are also quite a few pictures in the blog, and little video clips on our You Tube page (links on the left).
  •        Marriage Preparation Course - Paul and his fiancée Rokia are planning to get married, but the course I though I had is for married couples. Can anyone recommend good course materials I could use with them?
  •        Short Vienna Visit - I'm going to be in Vienna for 10 days Nov 26 until Dec 7. I'm preaching on Dec 5. Details on my CALENDAR page.

ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you. (Isa 60:1-2, AMP)

Anticipating HIM,

Claudia
