I'm happy to announce to
you that I will be licensed for ministry at Christ Triumphant Church on Sunday, September 26, during the 10 a.m. service. There will be a going-away-sending-out
party with chances to pray for me that night. Please contact me for details
on the party. I hope to see as many of you as possible on that special day! Some of you will say, who
is Christ Triumphant Church? I actually stepped into CTC on one of my
first days in Kansas City in June three years ago, when my school to be -
World Revival School of Ministry - used their facilities for their classes. My
first meetings there were historic ones, when Jill Austin (my teacher) did
her first conference there in December of the same year 2001, with Todd
Bentley as the main speaker - his first time in Kansas City. That was the
first of many conferences during my two years in Kansas City, and I loved
CTC's pastor from the very beginning. Pastor Alan Koch is a true pastor, so
loving and caring, who also loves the presence of God and His glory more than
anything. I started attending CTC on Sunday mornings last summer, during my
last 5 weeks in Kansas City. I love that church, I love their vision and
heart, and the freedom Holy Spirit has to do whatever He chooses. CTC also
has a mandate to the nations and I've longed to come under their covering. Leadership
has agreed to license me and stay in relationship with me, and I'm so
thankful to be connected to that wonderful church, where I have many friends
and a home. I'm also still sent out
by Vienna Christian Center in Vienna, Austria, my home church of 10
years, who is currently considering the renewal of my application for
continued support. My long summer of refocusing
and preparation for a significant second year is slowly coming to an end. I
have three more weeks in Kansas City before returning to Mali, and time is
running like crazy. There are still things to be done and to happen. Please
pray for a fruitful remaining time - spiritually and every other way. I asked
the Lord for 4 things to happen this summer, and only one is directly in
sight. Please pray also for
finances for the car (pick-up truck) to come in. It's exciting to get
everything needed together (most recently a sound system), but none of it
will be useful without a car. If I can get the money together while in the
US, I can take it back with me cash and buy a car in Mali. I wouldn't be able
to withdraw that much money from the ATM in Mali. It's exciting to watch
God get everything ready, and I hope I can share more with you soon. Thank you for your love
