It
has to do with my visa again.
Let me explain the situation first: Exactly a year ago I came to the US with
a student visa, studying with SIL (Summer Institute of Linguistics) at the University of North Dakota for
2 months. I was given a 5-year visa. However, the form to make that visa
valid, which shows the university and the time enrolled there, ran out in
September. What I needed was a transfer from North Dakota to my school in
Kansas City, which would mean a new form. However, the school had just been accredited
and to this day they have been in the process of being granted the
authorization to issue me that form, which they'll eventually get. However,
my form has been invalid for 9 months now and the school still doesn't know
when to get the authorization.
I've been patiently waiting, and would have continued to do so, had not my
international driver's license run out. Today I went and passed the test; I
thought everything was done when they looked at my passport and demanded to
see the form, which I didn't have on me. I told them I was in the process of
transfering and didn't have the new form yet, but they still demanded to see
the form.
So I returned home and now I need wisdom what to do. I might get into serious
trouble if I go back there with the old form (worst case scenario: being
expelled from the US), but I need the license. A miracle is in the making
that would provide me with a car to use - which will allow me to do a lot of
things.
So I'd like to ask you to join in prayer for wisdom, and that I'll be given
the license without troubles when I go there next week.
Pray also that bureaucracy will be sped up so that my school will get the
authorization asap.
Pray that I'll keep my eyes on Him and will be filled with His peace.
