'REVIVAL'
CHURCH OPENS 24-HOUR MINISTRY CENTER
A Missouri church internationally known for its long-running revival is opening
a 24-hour ministry center. The House of Hope and Healing is
being built on the campus of the World Revival Church (WRC) in Kansas City,
which marks the sixth anniversary of what became known as the Smithton
Outpouring, March 21-24.
The three-level building, to be available round-the-clock for visitors who
want prayer when it opens in the summer, is to be dedicated by Kenneth
Copeland at a special ceremony next month. WRC pastor Steve Gray said that
the center was intended to help multiply the healings that had been reported
in increasing number at the church. He hoped that the center would be visited
by people who might not consider attending a church service, and help
"bring the power of God [to them] without having to bring [them] into a
church atmosphere."
Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson is to be the guest speaker at the anniversary services, March 24. Thousands of pastors and lay people from around the world have
visited WRC-which moved from rural Smithton two years ago-since revival broke
out in 1996. "When the power of God transformed my ministry and my
church, I didn't realize the extent that this movement would go in changing
many other churches," Gray said.
