He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." (Ps 91:1)

Last Tuesday, in school, we were warned of a coming ice-storm. I didn't take it seriously, having noticed the effects of a little snow on people. That night, my guitar class was canceled because of icy roads. Wednesday morning, all schools were closed because of the ice. I took advantage of the time off to get schoolwork done. At 3 p.m., the power went suddenly off. No more electricity. No more light. No more heat. It had been raining all day, the rain freezing as soon as hitting the ground. We got colder and colder in our house but stayed over night. All night long we heard trees cracking as branches came down under the weight of the ice. Thursday morning, we could not stand it any longer. We spent the day in a heated mall, getting reading done, before finding shelter at a friend's house who had a fire-place and even got power back that very night.

Kansas City was covered with ice - the worst ice-storm ever in its history. 350000 households were without power, us just one of them. Transformers blew up, electric lines came down as trees cracked (they're all above the ground). Life came to a hold without electricity, shelters were put up everywhere for those who were cold. Sue and I, we could stay with those friends and had great fellowship there. We finally got power back late Saturday night, after over 3 days. Praise God! I returned home this (Sunday) afternoon, back in a warm house. What an experience this has been! Some people still don't have power.

BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER

I'd like you to join me in a breakthrough prayer tomorrow morning, in a few hours. Those who have known me long enough, might have noticed that it seems that my life is characterized by financial breakdowns. Whenever it goes uphill, the enemy comes to rob me as much as he can. However much I give, however much I pray, it hasn't made a difference.
I mentioned last time that the situation with the apartment in Vienna might escalate again. And it has. However much I try, I don't seem to be able to solve that situation, to simply get rid of the apartment!! The guy who was supposed to take the apartment, should simply have signed the lease. However, conditions changed in many ways and it didn't work out. I now am in a dead-end street - either finding a new person or a way to get rid of the furniture. If you're in Vienna and you have an idea, let me know. So, I have to keep paying for it...
Well, enough is enough. The dean of our school, an awesome man of God, someone I greatly honor and appreciate, he said he'd pray for me to make an end to this. Tomorrow morning, him and the second-year students are going to pray for me. And I'm joining my faith with theirs so that from now on the enemy will not rob the Lord any more, and I will be able to sow into His kingdom! Because it's all about HIM and HIS HONOR!

May the Lord bless you abundantly,

Claudia
